Research says we have more than 6000 thoughts per day with a sleep time of 6 to 7 hours. Choosing which type of thoughts your brain accepts depends on you.
After all, Thoughts Shape Your Life.
If you are someone who thinks that you are stuck in your life forever and everything is doomed, stop right now. It’s time to throw away those negative thoughts. Quit being crushed under the burden of guilt, fear, and shame!
I can feel your pain. When we are going through a terrible phase or carrying any past hurt, nothing seems to go right for us. It is quite certain to have bad thoughts that tarnish our self worth.
There was a time not long ago when my life was full of a limited mindset. My morning began with negative and fearful thoughts. It felt like there was no hope for me to turn my life around.
But to change my life and come out of my doubt and constant worry I needed to change my thoughts – MY MINDSET. That is what I started to do and think every time I was hit by a wave of fear.

What is a Negative or Limited Mindset
The thought of a limited mindset is set in our minds from an early age. The idea of scarcity or not being good enough in comparison to others.
Thoughts like “I am not good enough“, “I won’t be able to do it like them“, “I always fail“, and “I will never have that amount to afford this“, are a part of building a limited and fixed mindset.
Even we adults bear many painful pasts and events that we look back on with guilt and shame. This poor mindset deteriorates our self worth making us feel unwanted.
Limiting beliefs about us sprout self doubt and keeps us stagnant to make any progress in life. A person with a negative or limited mindset always thinks poor thoughts of failure, no matter what they attempt.
Moreover, with constant worry, we start transforming negative feelings into lifelong fear. A false notion of belief that everything will get messed up becomes the point of view to see the world.
What is a Positive or Abundance Mindset
When you are bold enough to take any failure as your learning opportunity you are driven by a positive mindset. No failure limits your growth potential.
You take life as a challenge and have full confidence to get your life around. With a positive mindset, you start to feel abundant in every area of your life irrespective of any challenges.
Thoughts like “I have enough resources to make my dreams come true“, “I am strong to accomplish my goals“, “This may be difficult now, but things will get better“
You can have a bad day or a bad time but with a positive mind, you are open to limitless good possibilities.
It is a sublime way to accept the painful phase but allow your inner conviction to see a brighter future.
Now that we have covered the concept of mindset, let us find out the steps to change your mindset.
These tips are not to negate your bad thoughts or difficulty. This is a way to remind yourself that shifting your mindset can bring a wonderful change in your life. You will start to find new opportunities in challenges.
I am not a champion in following these tips. It was easy to fall into negative thoughts. Swiftly diverting my poor thoughts into positive ones helped me.
You will find out from this post these 5 simple ways that have helped me to alter my mindset and live a happy life. I hope these tips will help you to see the light and good life for personal growth.
How to change your mindset – 5 awesome ways
1. Be aware of your thoughts (write it down)
How you speak to yourself determines how you think. To get a clear picture try writing down every thought and problem on a paper.
Being aware of your daily thoughts helps to analyze what type of mindset you are having. Expressing your feelings in writing or talking to some loved ones is great to improve your mindset.
Practice positive self talk. Being mindful of how you talk to yourself helps to change your attitude and emotions. Positive emotions of joy and contentment always bring success and prosperity.

2. Replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts
No one of us can indeed be positive every second of life. I too fall into this trap of negative thoughts on most of my days.
But whenever you feel that your thoughts have started to take a roller coaster ride, allow them. Forcing any disturbing thoughts to go away will make you think of them more often.
Replace any poor thoughts or beliefs with a positive thought. At first, you will feel that these positive statements are a lie. But with practice, you will start to feel good and positive about your life.
An example to divert your mind from a negative/fixed mindset to a positive/growth mindset with positive affirmation is given below,
3. Hold on to gratitude practice
Gratitude is the pillar on which your happiness and the right mindset are dependent. Thankfulness changes your lack mindset to an abundance mindset.
Try to find all the minute things in your life that make every day great. If right now you are feeling awful about life and going through an excruciating pain, start being grateful.
When I was at a low point in life I used to think gratitude was useless. Being unable to find any positive did not help me to find any peace.
It led to much frustration and negative thoughts that tarnished my calm. Counting my blessings in daily life no matter how small has helped me to change my attitude to life.
Gratefulness showed me the abundance that was already in me. If you want to shift your negative mindset into more brighter life, I would request you to adopt this marvelous practice of gratitude.
I think it is easy for any of us to acknowledge at least three things in life that help our daily life more meaningful.

4. Be open to change
Learn something new everyday or do anything alone to broaden your mindset. Your mental attitude will grow if you allow good thoughts and new beliefs.
If you always think of any challenge in life as a block or remind yourself of a past failure, these negative limiting thoughts will create more difficult situations. A fixed and negative mindset bars you from any further progress.
An open mindset is a growth mindset where failure is not the end of your dreams and goals in life. This is a mindset when we fail only to try again, and again, and again, and again.
Thoughts like “There is no point in trying as I have already failed” or “No matter how long I try, I can never learn that“, and “I will stick with this job no matter how miserable I am” stagnate your mind and hinder your progress to make a good change.
A positive mindset allows you to get out of your comfort zone and navigate life situations. For mindset change, we need patience and good habits to foster growth and strength.
