Begin your day by appreciating the positive aspects of your life. We always focus on the bad things around us and only find them everywhere.

I too was facing a tough time finding anything good in my life, totally oblivious to the fact that there are so many minute things that I should be grateful for.

But maybe it is easier said than done as life can throw us many challenges that divert our focus from making ourselves free and whole again.

Being able to acknowledge good things and not take life for granted helped me become a free person in life.

Remind yourself of your small wins, your effort, and your resilience that made you come through all the challenges and setbacks in life. Start thinking highly of yourself and the person you are today.

Begin gratitude journaling your day and list the things that make your life happy and fulfilling. Note down even the small things of your day. It will help you shift your perspective from focusing on good things rather the bad.

2. Start believing in yourself

Self belief is a vital step in learning to be free in your life. Although it is quite challenging when we are normally conditioned to seek external validation to prove ourselves.

There was a time when I thought too much about what others thought of me. It used to be a vital factor in how I operated my life. I have wasted so much of my energy and focused on seeking external validation to feel good about my life choices.

But it only made me more anxious and fearful of being ridiculed by those people. I did not think of what I wanted and what pleased me. Just to feel acknowledged by some close people I used to pretend to be someone else.

Until I could not take anymore and wanted badly to become free from these vicious clutches, I started to realise how wrong I was doing to myself.

Make your life choices with full self belief. We can turn to any loved ones for suggestions for sure which can help us to improve that choice into something strong.

But forgetting our true selves just to avoid getting judged by others is a complete NO! It is time to follow your passion.

Start flooding yourself with self love and selfcare to find a perfect harmony in your life that will make you feel free from within. Avoid neglecting your own needs so that you can show the same care for your loved ones.

Love and accept yourself if you are just like me who used to be the most cruel critic of myself. And it did take a mental toll on my daily life.

No matter how much we strive for emotional balance, spiritual awakening, and physical growth, if our financial situation is not ok then the freedom to enjoy life falls back.

If you have any dream of doing anything that is falling short because of lack of finance then start saving money and create new creative avenues to make money.

Or maybe you have a debt or a mighty credit card bill that is nibbling away your earnings slowly. Start taking steps to clear that out from your life.

It is to be remembered that we may strive and wish for that ultimate freedom. But until we are financially stable and independent living a free life remains incomplete.

10. Let go of the need to control all

Life does not always go according to our plans. Have peace within yourself by letting go of controlling everything.

There are things or situations you cannot control as per your wishes. So it is better to let it go and flow on its own. This does not mean we are avoiding difficult situations but setting the pace of events in order of their priority.

The idea of the need to control everything is very tiring and used to drain all my energy. These create a sense of fear and anxiety and become even worse if something does not go according to what I had planned.

Finding my rock bottom I started letting go of the idea of having all sorted out. I always look forward to take one thing at a time to avoid overwhelm. There is an immense freedom of letting go of perfection and controlling life.

If we want to know how to live more freely then being present in each moment is very important. Becoming aware of where I am and what is going on around me is something I never gave any importance to.

The pain of the past and the uncertainty of the future used to clog my mind. I forgot to see the present I am blessed with. This was the perfect recipe to lose the vital moments of my now.

I wanted to stop this relentless back and forth of my spiraling thoughts. Finally, I came to find out the importance of being mindful in my present moment and it did change my life.
