Being active or involving yourself in physical activity will free you from mental exhaustion and anxious thoughts. It does not have to be only limited to exercising but simple things like taking stairs, dancing, hula hoop, and playing with your pet.
Release those feel-good chemicals in your brain, and relieve stress.
Meditate and Focus
Meditation is the ultimate form of relaxing your mind and brain and relieving stress-building triggers. Your mind will want to wander away.
But regular practice of sitting anywhere and focusing your mind on a single point even for a short time is great for relieving stress.
Being mindful and present in your now is also a healthy way to feel calm and relax your nerves.
Deep Breathing
Whenever you feel the stress factor is making your heartbeat change the momentum or you feel that tinge of uneasiness in your nerves, resort to some deep breathing.
I know taking deep breaths gets sometimes difficult or we simply forget to even breathe. Just at that moment remind yourself to take at least 6 to 7 long breaths from your nose and lungs.
